Plan: This committee will be made up of one or more members dedicated to recognizing and preserving information on the accomplishments in performance and competition events as well as other accomplishments. APPENDIX A (to SVCA Awards Policy) RECOGNITION AWARDS, CERTIFICATES OF MERIT CERTIFICATE OF MERIT: A Certificate of Merit will be issued and given at the Annual Nationals. Any dog earning any title during the year, will receive a certificate for the titles earned. Members are to submit copies of their titles to the Committee, up to one month prior to the Nationals. Titles earned after that date, will be added to the next year’s Nationals presentations. The Vallhund of Merit (VOM). This award is for the dog that demonstrates all of the characteristics ideally found in animals which are included in a breeding program: excellent conformation, herding ability, trainability, stable disposition, healthy, and structurally sound. Requirements: 1. Breed Championship (ARBA, UKC, CKC, or AKC) -- indicating excellent conformation 2. PT level herding -- a qualifying score at an SVCA sponsored test, AKC PT title, AHBA, or ASCA title as an indicator of herding ability 3. CGC -- this would be an indicator of basic trainability and stable temperament. 4. OFA or Penn Hip fair or better and clear CERF 5. Veterinary certificate of good health. THE VERSATILITY SERIES: (VS). The versatility awards build on the Vallhund of Merit. Requirements: VERSATILITY SERIES 1 (VS1): Vallhund of Merit (VOM) 1 Open
